My name is Michelle (obviously) and I’m a 30-something crafter, baker, traveler, sushi eater, Starbucks drinker, party planner, shopper and shot glass collector. I always have too many ideas and not enough time. I love taking pictures and playing on the internet. And I am currently having an amazing love affair with iced coffee.

I live in sunny Southern California with my fabulous husband, Matthew and sweet baby boy, Logan. I am extremely lucky to be a stay at home mom and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Still want to know more about me?

On June 30, 2008 I had RNY Gastric Bypass surgery. While it was the last resort for me and isn’t for everyone, I couldn’t be happier with my decision and I don’t regret one second of it.

To date I have lost about 113.5 pounds. That is exactly 40% of my starting body weight. I would still like to get rid of another 20 pounds, but I am still so happy with where I am now.

The hardest part has been finding a balance in my food intake and I am still far from perfect. I am working hard to make the “right” or “better” choices when I eat. And that is my focus right now. Like I said, I am far from perfect.

Hello. I am a university professor who is conducting research on WEIGHT LOSS BLOGGERS AND THE ROLE BLOGGING HAS PLAYED IN THE BLOGGER’S WEIGHT LOSS.

As you may be aware, a lot of research has been done over the years on weight loss but very little has been done on blogging and weight loss. I hope you will help me remedy this.

I have chosen you as a potential research participant because you have a weight loss blog, have a weight loss goal of 100 pounds or more, and have been blogging for at least three months.

If you choose to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete a survey that I will email you. Your answers will be completely confidential and I will use a pseudonym of your choice in the final study.

I have an information sheet about the study I would be happy to share with you. Please email me at aldridga@nsuok.edu if you would like to take a look at it.

Thank you for your time and best of luck to you on your weight loss journey.
